So I went to write in this blog last night and honestly it's not that I don't want to write here but this is filled will memories from last year and I think I need a new home for what I want to write about. SO! I opened a tumblr account in January and never started writing in it but I want to make a concerted effort to start posting random things there. I want to go back to writing book reviews, posting pictures of things I love or quotes that move me, and song lyrics that inspire me. Below I will post the link to my tumblr, as well as my teaching blog that I post in once a week. It focuses on teaching middle school but really applies to any grade level. If you are still reading this - thanks for coming along for the ride on this blog - it means a lot to me - and come visit the new site! There are lots more polka dots to come!

Strong Enough
I know I haven't posted here in a while but something a good friend told me yesterday inspired me to write here. I miss recording my life and getting my feelings out in a different medium but today there are too many heavy thoughts floating around in my head so here is the song that's been stuck in my head since Monday:
Strong Enough - Kina Grannis
Welcome to the days of wariness
Where I'm feeling an echo inside my chest,
I've a heart beating impatiently long,
Waiting for the other half of it's song
It's song
[Chorus:]
No, it's not enough
Don't touch my hand and call it love
If you can't hold it tight, tonight
If you're not strong enough
And times have told the ways things come to light
Realizing a lack in your will to fight
Despite words crying at inconsistencies,
As you fall uneasily to your knees, your knees
And I'm not blind to what you're doing here
Make me feel like I'm special,
But my dear, I have seen through a weakness in your eyes
You don't know it, but you're telling me lies,
Me lies
And you will soon awake to see
There is no heart in anything you say to me
We thought we'd found a harmony, a perfect match of melodies
No, But if you listen closely now, I've been singing all alone
No, OooOoo...
Strong enough, OooOoo...
Strong enough,
Strong enough,
